RISE Research Institutes of Sweden
Dr. Lisa Skedung works a senior researcher and project manager at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden since 2013. At RISE she works with applied research in publicly funded projects or as confidential contract work with industry partners.
She has a M.S. in chemistry and chemical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in surface chemistry also from KTH (2012). In her doctoral thesis she investigated the role of surface properties and friction on tactile perception. After her PhD she has developed a focus area at RISE within perception and design and is engaged in research related to surface science, tribology, tactile perception, and perception delivery in different applications. Another research interest is on snow/ski friction and finding/testing sustainable alternatives to PFAS in ski waxes and other consumer products where PFAS may be used to lower friction, repel water/oil/dirt, or resist harsh chemicals and heat.
