Invitation to Attend

A regular meeting of the Australasian Colloid and Interface Society’s scientific community has been held on an approximately biennial basis since 2003, alternating with our very successful postgraduate student conference. With ACIS 2024 we are relaunching this conference after what can only be described as a disruptive few years. With our fabulous beach-side venue in Terrigal NSW we hope to entice everyone back in person to network with our current early career researchers together with new and familiar colleagues from industry to gather and discuss recent advances in Australasian colloid and interface science and engineering. This region is acknowledged world-wide for punching above its numbers in terms of excellence and advancement of this key interdisciplinary field.

In the program we plan to have themes concerning nanoparticles and nanocrystals, colloids and interfaces in mineral processing, colloids for the delivery of bioactive compounds, and on soft matter and also liquid interfaces together with our traditional Frontiers of colloid and interface science theme to capture the diversity of the latest and greatest discoveries by colleagues from across New Zealand, Australia and the World.

I invite fellow researchers to join other colloid and interface scientists, engineers and technologists to join your colleagues from the wonderful breadth of universities, research organisations and companies to get behind this meeting and help us make it a resounding success. I hope you can get to enjoy the sunshine of Terrigal in February with us.
